"becos" is a great attempt - and it is enough. Ace finds the real word, says it aloud, and tells them what it means in words a child actually knows.
Spell it for real
The word appears big and clear, and they type it letter by letter on Ace's own keyboard. Wrong letter? A gentle wobble and another go. Nothing ever says "incorrect".
Write it on paper
Ace draws every letter slowly - stroke order, start points, direction - and your child copies it with a real pen. Screens end; the word lands on paper, theirs forever.

Which devices does it work on?
iPad is the sweet spot (Safari is best there), and it also works on phones and computers in Safari or Chrome. It runs in the browser - there is nothing to install. Save it to the home screen and it sits there like an app.
My child is dyslexic. Is this therapy or a program?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. ACE is a practice tool - a friendly spelling sidekick - not an assessment, a therapy or a substitute for a teacher or specialist. It was built for a dyslexic child, and designed so nothing about it ever feels like failing. If you have concerns about your child's learning, please talk to their teacher or a specialist.
Will it ever teach a wrong spelling?
It is built not to. Every word it teaches is checked against a real dictionary before your child sees it. If ACE cannot verify a word, it says so and asks for another go rather than guessing.
Does my child need an account or email?
No. There are no accounts and no logins. A grown-up types in a first name, the child picks their character, and everything saves to your own device. We never see any of it.
Is the voice a real person?
Ace currently speaks with your device's built-in voice, and everything he says is also written on screen. A warmer Australian voice is on the roadmap - updates are included.
What about screen time? Is this another game to get lost in?
